There is no cart return at the store. When people leave the store shopping carts are left scattered and obstructing the exit. The carts get left helter-skelter at the exit. People as they are walking out of the store push the cart in the general direction of the other carts and walking out to the parking lot.
I turned my cart around placing it back inline with all the other carts. Then I grabbed an abandoned cart left by another customer, returning the cart to be inline with the others. In total there were about 5 carts at the exit by other customers.
As I was returning the one of the last remaining carts another person was leaving their cart. Initially they were going to push their cart in the general direction of the carts and walk away. However they saw me putting away carts that weren't mine back inline with the others. The customer changed their mind, pushed their cart back inline with the others.
You all will face this same type of choice. You can accept the poor behavior of others around you or you can use your leadership skills to influence the others around you to make better choices. When you do face this choice, I ask that you use your leadership skills to influence others around you to make better choices.
